4 hot dog sausages

4 hot dog buns

1 can (400g) chili beans (drained and rinsed)

200g ground beef or turkey

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon chili powder

1 teaspoon cumin

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

100g shredded cheddar cheese

2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro (for garnish)

Jalapeño slices (optional, for extra heat)

Fleisch anbraten: In a skillet over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the diced onion until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

    Fleisch hinzufügen: Add the ground beef (or turkey) to the skillet. Cook until browned and crumbly, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.

      Chili vorbereiten: Stir in the chili beans, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing flavors to meld. If the mixture becomes too thick, add a splash of water.

        Hot Dogs zubereiten: While the chili simmers, grill or cook the hot dog sausages as per your preference until heated through and slightly crispy.

          Zusammenstellen: Place each hot dog sausage into a bun. Generously spoon the chili mixture on top of the sausages.
