Zutaten
  

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 ripe avocado, mashed

4 slices of whole grain bread

½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 small red onion, sliced

1 medium tomato, sliced

Fresh arugula or spinach leaves

Optional: Hot sauce for added kick

Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium heat.

    Season the chicken breasts with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

      Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F). Once cooked, remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly.

        Toast the slices of whole grain bread on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

          While the bread is toasting, mash the avocado in a small bowl and season it with a pinch of salt and pepper.

            Assemble the sandwiches: Spread a generous layer of mashed avocado on one side of each slice of toasted bread.

              Layer the sliced chicken on top of the avocado, followed by red onion slices, tomato slices, mozzarella cheese, and a handful of fresh arugula or spinach.

                Top each sandwich with another slice of toasted bread, avocado side down.

                  Optionally, drizzle a little hot sauce on the inside the sandwiches if you like some heat.

                    Return the assembled sandwiches to the grill or pan and grill for an additional 3-4 minutes on each side, pressing down slightly, until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy.

                      Slice the sandwiches in half and serve immediately.
