Garlic Butter Steak and Shrimp

Zutaten
  

2 ribeye steaks (about 200g each)

300g large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and black pepper to taste

1 teaspoon lemon juice

Optional: Fresh lemon wedges, for serving

Steaks preparation: Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator about 30 minutes before cooking to bring them to room temperature. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, and paprika.

    Cooking steaks: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted and bubbling, add the steaks to the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side for medium-rare, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes. Use a meat thermometer to ensure an internal temperature of 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.

      Resting the steaks: Remove the steaks from the skillet and cover them loosely with aluminum foil to rest while you cook the shrimp.

        Cooking shrimp: In the same skillet, add the remaining butter (2 tablespoons) and let it melt. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Then, add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.

          Combining flavors: Drizzle lemon juice over the shrimp and sprinkle with fresh parsley. Stir to combine and ensure the shrimp are coated in the garlic butter.

            Serving: Slice the rested steaks against the grain and arrange on serving plates. Top each steak with the garlic butter shrimp. Spoon any leftover garlic butter over the top.

              Garnishing: Serve with fresh lemon wedges on the side for an extra zing.
